Agro-Entrepreneurship in Udaipur, India

SLDP was implemented in two sub-districts of Udaipur between 2016 and 2019 to empower the socially and economically backward population to reduce the vulnerability to become a victim of child trafficking. In the context of this project SLDP was adapted to the specific need of the target group by including Agro Pastoral trainings. The farmers learned to perceive their agricultural activity as a business and to choose strategies that offer viability to sustain their household needs.

The project is supported by ChildFund Deutschland e.V. and German the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development. Soceo has conducted the Baseline Study, facilitated the implementation of SLDP and consulted & monitored SLDP related activities.
