To assess the socio-economic situation of small-scale farmers with a special focus on women and their market access in Darjeeling District in India, SOCEO conducte a baseline study as part of a project. The methodology for the study included quantitative and qualitative research approaches including interviews, questionnaires, observations and secondary sources. The findings of the study form the basis for later evaluation of progress of the project.
