Growing trees. Strengthening communities. Creating measurable impact.
The Challenge
How can smallholder farmers restore their land and livelihoods in the face of climate change?
The Objective
Empower local communities to regenerate land, strengthen food systems, and create lasting climate and biodiversity impact.
The Location
West Bengal, India
Our Community Agroforestry Program combines climate action, biodiversity restoration, and social empowerment in one model. Together with smallholder farmers in West Bengal, we plant and care for fruit-bearing trees that restore degraded land, improve local nutrition, and generate sustainable income opportunities.
Why our model is different:
- Community-led: Local families and self-help groups plant, nurture, and benefit from each tree.
- Fruit-bearing species: Mango, jackfruit, guava, moringa, lemon, and other varieties improve both diet and income.
- Digitally traceable: Every planting is recorded and monitored to ensure transparency and long-term survival.
- High impact per Euro: As a non-profit, most funds go directly into planting, training, and local capacity building.
We are always open to new corporate partners, sponsors, and collaborators who share our conviction that effective climate protection must involve the people most affected by climate change. A partnership with SOCEO means achieving measurable and transparent impact – tree by tree, family by family.
